For students and people early in their career who are building a name for themselves.

You have plenty of ideas. What's missing is a plan.

Four posts. One story about where you're headed.

  • Students working together at a wooden table with laptops

    1

    the class project

  • Young woman working on a laptop in a bright office

    2

    what the internship taught me

  • Young maker cutting a wooden board at a workbench

    3

    the side project

  • Young man writing notes at his desk next to a laptop

    4

    what's next

That's a storyline: one thread that runs through your month, so each post builds on the one before.

You bring the ideas. Gatefold helps you plan them. You make every call.

  1. Drop in your ideas.

Type a thought or paste a link. Gatefold checks each idea against what you want to be known for, suggests which storyline it fits, and flags the ones you already have. You confirm or skip.

When you start, you answer a few short questions: who you want to reach, what you want to be known for, and a post you've already written. Every idea is checked against those answers.

  2. Plan your month.

Pick the ideas you like. Gatefold puts them in order as one storyline, with a reason for each. Move anything you want.

  3. Lock it in.

Locking sets your plan for the month, so it stays put while you work through your posts.

Then each post starts as a first draft, based on a post you shared when you set up. Change what you like, add your own photos, then approve it.

What you get each month

  • A storyline: one thread that ties the month together.
  • Your ideas in order, each with a short reason it's there.
  • A month grid you can take in at a glance.
  • A first draft of each post, ready for you to edit and approve.
A sample month. One storyline, "How I got here", runs through October, from why you started to what's next.

We’re in a small beta and letting people in a few at a time.
