Privacy
This page explains, in plain language, what we collect when you visit our sites, join the waitlist or use Gatefold, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to get a copy or have it deleted.
Effective date: October 10, 2026.
Who this covers
Gatefold LLC, a Florida limited liability company, runs Gatefold. When we say "we" or "us", we mean Gatefold LLC. This policy covers trygatefold.com and gatefold.ai (including www.gatefold.ai, app.gatefold.ai and preview.gatefold.ai), the waitlist, the emails we send, and the cookies and tags described below.
Our mailing address is Gatefold LLC, 400 N Tampa St, Ste 1550 #218494, Tampa, FL 33602. For anything about your information, email privacy@gatefold.ai.
Waitlist
When you join the waitlist, we keep what you enter in the form: your first name, last name and email, your team size, and who you post for. The form also sends some details automatically: the page and version you signed up on, the site language, and, if the link you followed had them, campaign tags (UTM source, medium, campaign and content) and an ad click ID (gclid from Google, fbclid from Meta, li_fat_id from LinkedIn, ttclid from TikTok). We send these signup details to HubSpot, our customer database, when you submit the form. This is signup attribution: it tells us which pages and ads led to your signup. It happens whether or not you accept cookies, because it comes from the form you sent, not from a cookie. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see Your rights).
We use your email for the waitlist: a link to confirm your address (and a new one if you ask for it), a note that you're on the list once you confirm, and your beta invite, in English or Spanish. If you join Gatefold, we also send sign-in links and emails that help you get started. Every waitlist email has a way to stop them. We keep waitlist information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and no longer than 24 months after your last activity with us.
Tracking and ads
On trygatefold.com, nothing beyond what the site needs loads until you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you accept, these load: the Meta Pixel, the TikTok Pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Analytics 4, HubSpot's tracking code, and Plausible, a page counter that doesn't use cookies. They help us measure visits and our ads, and they let ad platforms show our ads to people who might want Gatefold. The Meta Pixel is used for ad measurement and to build ad audiences. You can manage how Meta uses your activity for ads in Meta's ad settings at https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences. gatefold.ai and www.gatefold.ai are a simple cover page with no third-party scripts. Inside the Gatefold app (app.gatefold.ai and preview.gatefold.ai), there are no third-party ad or analytics tags. We count how the product is used with our own first-party analytics (PostHog), which sets no cookies and identifies you by an internal account ID, not your email.
We also use custom and lookalike audiences on ad platforms. That means we share a hashed (scrambled) version of your email with an ad platform so it can show our ads to you, or to people similar to you. Some US state laws, including California's, may treat this, and the tags above, as "selling" or "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. To opt out, use the Do not sell or share my personal information link at the bottom of every page, turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, click Reject in the cookie banner, or email privacy@gatefold.ai. Reject and GPC turn off the marketing tags in that browser. The opt-out page or an email to us also covers the hashed-email audiences and the signup attribution we hold.
Cookie consent
The cookie banner has three choices: Accept, Reject, and close (×). Reject keeps the tags above off, and closing the banner counts as Reject. If your browser sends a GPC signal, the marketing tags stay off even if you click Accept.
You can change your choice anytime from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. The cookie policy lists each cookie and tag and how long it lasts.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other US states with privacy laws, you have the right to: know what personal information we have about you and get a copy, have it corrected, have it deleted, and opt out of targeted advertising and of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. To opt out, use the Do not sell or share my personal information link at the bottom of every page. We also honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out for the browser that sends it. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
To make any request, email privacy@gatefold.ai, and a person will handle it. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address we have, so we know it's you. Someone you authorize can also make a request for you. If we say no to a request, we'll tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to our answer. If you live outside the US, email the same address, and we'll handle your request under the law that applies to you. To leave the waitlist, use the unsubscribe link in any waitlist email, or write to the same address.
Where it lives and how long
Gatefold is based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed there by the service providers we use to run Gatefold: HubSpot (our customer database), Postmark (the emails we send), PostHog (product analytics in the app), Anthropic (the AI provider behind Gatefold's suggestions and drafts, which is contractually barred from training its models on what we send it and may keep some content for a limited time, for example for safety review), our hosting providers, and our payment provider for paid plans. Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google keep what their tags collect under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it: waitlist and contact information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and no longer than 24 months after your last activity with us. Your cookie choice is kept for 12 months. If you have a Gatefold account, we keep account information while the account is open, plus anything the law requires us to keep.
